Simon is as much an artist as a technician, demanding perfection and silence when he tunes as if performing for an audience. He has tuned for the Ulverston Festival for over five years where we have used different pianos, but our total satisfaction in the result has always been the same.

When we acquired a Steinway B piano for use in Levens Hall at concerts and charity events, we were very pleased to find that Simon Wroe not only lived near us but that we had such an excellent and experienced concert tuner to look after our piano. Simon is conscientious, skilled and helpful and we would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who cares about maintaining their piano to the highest standard.

We are delighted to work with Simon at Rosehill.  His work is of a very high standard, he is quick and responsive to our needs and gives invaluable advice on all matters related to pianos.  Our Steinway is an older piano, in need of great care and attention which Simon gives it bringing out its best for the international pianists that perform on it.  He is well connected in the Cumbrian musical world and further afield which provides added value and interest to his visits and discussions when he is with us.

Luckily 6 years ago we met Simon Wroe and he has not only tuned our Steinway Model B before each of our 6 concerts per year but has detected and corrected many of the faults that were affecting the performances of our guest pianists.  He not only unfailingly turns up to tune but has worked with us within the budget we could afford.  This meant estimating the cost of working on each defective part of the movement, and his invoices have never exceeded the estimate.  The result has been amazing.  Returning pianists regularly ask us what we have done to so improve the tone and touch.  In fact one asked us if it was a different instrument!

We cannot recommend Simon’s work highly enough.
